General Marvel Legends

I'll co-sign on redone versions of the modern purple and white costume and the classic FA ripped white dress, and honestly I also wouldn't mind the leotard/legwarmers look she worn when she joined the Avengers.

I still need a redo of the modern costume, the one we got from the original Blob wave when Hasbro first took over. I still have the old one in my display!
That's my preferred version as well, but I'm happy to make do with the one Iron Man retro card wave. I don't really want to buy another one, ever. She goes with my Avengers display and nowhere else for me.

I need to be done buying multiple versions of characters and any and all re-do's/updates. I'm going to try to stick to only new characters going forward and limit it to very significant upgrades of previously made characters only. I just can't keep buying the same stuff over and over. I'm done with that.

Opened up the Mini Comic wave two and Skurge wave figures. After getting some long-requested figures like Skurge, Rachel, and Feral and completing the Mutant Genesis era X-teams, I honestly kind of feel like my ML collection is complete. No, that won't stop me from buying plenty more as they come out, but everything else will just feel like extra for a complete collection.

I could probably make a smallish list (10 or so) that I could get and not mind Legends ending. I’m done with swathes of the universe - Inhumans sorted now, don’t ever need anything else X. But a proper Mandarin is still a glaring hole, at bare minimum.

There’s still a whole bunch of non-essential but fun stuff I’ll be buying though. My tolerance for wacky Z-list Spidey villains is pretty much infinite…

I'm just about done as well. I can almost always talk myself into at least considering new X-Men stuff, but all my essentials are covered. There's some upgrades I'd go for (c'mon Gamerverse/Maximum Magneto), and some enemy minion types I'd happily snap up (Brood, MvC Sentinel), but once Rachel comes in later this week (and the made to order guys in production) I think I'm solid on all my big wants.

I like a lot of her white with purple highlight costumes as well. I think the thong barely covering her bits part is pretty unfortunate though.

I just need to circle back to the price of Marvel Legends super briefly because I inarguably opened too many action figures this week. TOO MANY. From a LOT of vendors. And I've got McFarlane Figures with warped legs and f*cked up feet. I've got MOTU figures from Mattel with horrible paint applications and accessories bent in half in the packaging. I've got a third-party figure with a "well I guess you have to buy your own dremel" QC issue with a neck peg. I had to go to war with getting a tail to stay on a Four Horsemen figure because of their weird refusal to make tail pegs deep enough to stay in place.

But I think... oh hell, in the past two weeks double digit Marvel figures because of the STOPPIT HASBRO preorder bonanza? Not a single QC issue. Didn't need to heat up a limb. No egregious paint issues (nothing's perfect, but nothing I felt the need to fix myself). Accessories? not bent. Just toys functional out of the box. That's all I want from action figures. Don't make me have to work for it.

Anyway, I need to go fix a bow-legged McFarlane figure and I gave up on fixing the third party figure and just put it back in the box in a hissy fit and I'm going to boil Stratos's wings and put books on top of them so they don't curl back onto themselves, whereas my only problem with Legends right now is "oh shit I don't have enough desk space for the stuff I want to keep out to mess with!"

(Oh, and I got Mystique today. Just a nice, no-frills upgrade IMHO - I never DISLIKED the Walgreens version but I like the lighter blue and the sturdier arms/legs on the new one. One of those rare "yeah, I'm ready for an update and don't mind buying the same character twice" purchases.)

Yep - I didn't realize this was the only modern version of the costumes we've gotten and sold it with all the old stuff. So... I'll need a new one lol

I'm happy for you. Not resentful at all.

In seriousness, I'd keep buying/upgrading whether my collection was "complete" or not.

My Target Mystique arrived last night. The skin almost has a purple hue to it. I'm ambivalent about it.

Looking at the figure in the display three feet to my left, I'm not entirely sure why I bought it. She looks identical to the one I replaced. That said, I'm glad I bought her. The old figure was seriously bow-legged (only behind Juggernaut wave Kitty Pryde). The double-jointed elbows make a difference, too.

All in all, it cost me about $5 after you factor in the cash I got from selling the Walgreens figure.

A new Nova Prime is being added to my MAKE NOW list. I loved the original, but imagine a new one with all of the pinless and design advancements.

Wish Wave
Yellowjacket
Ronin
Nova Prime
Classic Hercules
Classic Falcon
Doc Sampson
Elektra (red)
BAF Annihilus

First Retro Revisit Wave
Secret Wars Pinless Captain America with Gamerverse articulation and scale armor
Gamerverse Punisher with black deco
Amazing Friends or Maximum Spider-Man with classic bright red/blue and Ditko/Romita heads
Secret Wars pinless Iron Man with Gold and crimson 80th Anniversary deco... arms on the correct side :)
X-Men 97 Wolverine with a non-cartoony comic headsculpt. Go Tiger Stripe.
Honestly, I don't think Black Widow needs another ideal release... so sub in a comic Yelena

That's 2 sell-out waves, with an appropriate amount of new tooling required.

And then, for the random retro carded releases
Secret Wars Daredevil
Classic Black Cat
Secret Wars Spider-Man (on whatever body of Amazing Friends or Maximum they didn't use for the Retro Revisit version :))
Animated/X-Men 97 Cyclops with a comic head

I know these are A-listers, but some huge sales like this gets people their Dr. Bong, or whatever.
Adding to this a new OG X-Men 5 pack on new bodies and a Modern She-Hulk.

If we hit a Maximum Cap, Tiger Stripe Wolverine, Thor and maybe a Gambit and Magneto - I think I would be pretty satisfied with everything.

Marvel Legends I’ve bought (and kept) in 2025:

Husk
Marrow
Banshee (Giant Size X-Men)
She-Hulk (Fantastic Four)
Psylocke (Gamerverse)
Shanna (Savage Land)
Phoenix (Rachel)
Beast (Astonishing)
Punisher (Gamerverse)
Black Bolt
Triton
Medusa
Gorgon

Only thirteen. Wow.
