McFarlane DC Multiverse

Multiple McFarlane items with EE Drop Zone alerts now for December. The 4th, 5th, 9th, and 10th. Cargo vessel must’ve just hit the Port of LA. Again, don’t know if any of this is DCM and we may not know until Tuesday. The main objective of Black Friday through Cyber Monday is to move existing inventory.

December is usually pretty quiet in terms of DCM. Without much Bat-product (known), it may not be a priority to get it up for preorder before Christmas.

I went Black Friday shopping today. I do not like crowds, so I usually go to small businesses like comic book store or places that sell used action figures. Today I went to Target, Walmart, Ollie's & Gamestop for the first time on Black Friday. Walmart, Gamestop & Ollie's were like normal shopping. Some Targets were fine, others had the line to checkout starting in the back of the store.

While I was out I found Platinum Metron & Platinum Mirror Master. I also saw Kite-Man, which I have, but I was hoping it would be the Platinum version. It was also a Blackest Night Friday, I found Black Lantern Hawkman, Black Lantern Wonder Woman & Atrocitus from DC Direct for around $20 each.

Makes me remember I still have the original one that I've never been able to find room for. 😅 I only took it out of the box like a year or two ago, since that was a big honkin' thing in and of itself, and the poor Batcave itself has yet to grace the shelves. Good luck to everyone going for it on MTS- just be sure to carve out some room!

I passed on this batcave the first time years ago when it was offered by DC Direct. I hope to correct that mistake tomorrow, but my recent history with McF pre-orders has been pretty spotty. Everything seems to sell out before I get it. I'm still hoping to secure Blackfire and Cheetah somehow without resorting to paying double retail on ebay.

$225 was a lot more than I was hoping to pay for this. That's 50% higher than it cost the first time I think and I decided that was too much back then, but had regretted passing on it since. I be-grudgingly still pre-ordered it this time. I used the MTS10 code which basically just offset the shipping charge. It sucks that MTS charges upfront for pre-orders.

I have the original Batcave, so no need for the re-release (luckily I don't need a black repaint Batman). It's a great set, though, and I'm really happy I bought it when I did. It's been on display ever since, jam-packed full of more Bat-characters than I ever thought they'd make. I'm still really hoping for a Ninja, Clock King, and Red Claw before this line is through. If McFarlane has to kickstart a wave with those guys and say, Hugo Strange or the Werewolf, I'm all there for ever tier.

I went to a Target on Sunday coming home from visiting with family, and was really happy to chance on a Max Shreck. I've wanted that guy since I was a kid, and his likeness is easily the best in the bunch. Love the fried head, too. There was an unmarked sale, and he was only $21. Today, Batman, Catwoman, and Penguin arrived from BBTS, and I've now got them all displayed with the Penguin's duck and the Penguin Commandos.

I love the character selection, but in true McFarlane fashion, it's really tough to get any cool poses out of this batch. Batman doesn't hold his gun or batarang properly, and they all do that weird teetering thing McFarlane figures tend to do on their stands. I'm happy with all the character selection, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't ready for someone else to take a swing at figures with a better articulation scheme.
