McFarlane DC Multiverse

I used the barcodes for this wave that were supplied by AhsokaTheGeek on insta and came up nil. They said there were units in stock but when I got there they told me that bar codes are interchangeable and can be applied to anything in the store. So that’s a $50 uber ride I’ll regret for the rest of my life. I’ll just go back to buying my toys on the internet

Whew. Did I miss anything?

I would also like a SA Superboy. And a Jon Kent kid Superboy.

McFarlane will always find a way to lean into the macabre. I chalk it up to an overcorrection coming out of Marvel in the 90’s. Spider-Man and Hulk are both essentially superheroes overlaid with science fiction. Spawn swung the pendulum back in the other direction to the supernatural.

And yes, I do know that was a rhetorical question. 😉

It’s funny that you say that because it seems like for the last 6-7 years, spawn has been almost defaulting into the superhero era and going back to the well with his early costume in both the comics and toys .

Yeah, not that I read Spawn comics anymore, but Todd now publishes several other titles that pick up the supernatural slack. At least from what I can tell from his solicitations.

Remember, The Bat wave is up for preorder today. Noon EST, 9:00 AM Pacific.

The McFarlane Toys TV show is on YouTube today. 3:00 PM EST, Noon Pacific. Featuring DC Product not shown at Toy Fair.

My Best Buy order for TDK Joker came in today- delivered by DoorDash, oddly enough. He looks good, though! I found one yesterday at Target, but held off because, again, the face paint was a bit too flesh colored. The one I got delivered today isn't perfect, but I'd say skews a little better in the paint department than the other one did.

Is anyone else getting a little concerned we haven't had the preorder for the 89 Comic Joker yet? I'll be worried about them getting a C&D from Nicholson's lawyers until the figure is in my hands.
