I thought about the fabric-caped Hush Batman but he strikes me as "too blue" and the cape appears shiny / faintly metallic. I think I prefer the sculpted rubber of the one I already have. It's a shame the JLA one has gritted teeth. He's just gonna be standing on the shelf next to the other JLA members looking like he's enraged or about to unwillingly soil himself.
 
I am on the fence with the 3 new Batman figures. I'll probably get the Damian Batman. It's from a possible future story, which I'm picky about getting one shot figures. But it's never been done before and looks good. The Justice League Batman is just the Justice League Task Force figure without looking digitized. I figured they would eventually make it look like a comic book figures. The Hush 2 figure is the same as the Hush figure only lighter in color and with a a fabric cape. Do I really need this? I already have the black & gray version as well as the blue & gray version. It does look good as well. I'll probably get the White Lantern Batman if I see, but skip the Injustice League Batman.
 
I'll get Hush 2 Batman for the wired cape and the fact that they've finally made a blue-and-gray Batman figure where the gray is light instead of dark. And I'll get Damian Batman for the novelty.

I'll skip the JLA Bats because of the lack of a wired cape and the grimacing face. I've got high hopes for the upcoming Neal Adams Batman though - I really hope that has a wired cape.

I hope so too but more than likely it will be a dark blue and muted grey too. Unless the colors on the figure are based on Neal Adams’ reprints

Seriously...he looks like he is just now realizing he shouldn't have tried that burrito Martian Manhunter made.
 
Ordered me one of them fancy theatrical edition Jokers from Best Buy. Should be here Saturday.

I'm surprised at how tempted I am by Hush 2 Batman. I've yet to read the story (and from what I've heard, I'm not in any rush). I like the original Hush Batman well enough, even with the thick ass cape and ring hand. Looks-wise, something about Hush Batman is just like, quintessential Batman for me, at least as far as comics go. Don't know if it's my favorite Batman design, but it is the one I probably default to most when I think comics Batman. Given the response from everyone else I've seen, he may end up being hard to find, but I'll leave it up to the toy gods.

That sounds like Batman to me. He swings so wildly in personality and presentation from project to project that he's either "DARKNESS! NO PARENTS!" or just angry and ridiculous in my muddled mind's eye.

Outside of Hush, ironically, I've never tried reading Batman for a steady, consistent characterization to sink in.
 
Never quite been sure what to think of Batman.

*Born a billionaire.

*One of the five smartest people on the planet.

*Olympic level athletic ability applied to no particular sport.

*One of the greatest fighters who ever lived using a combination of martial styles. Blending them, not to rely on one particular discipline.

*A strategic mind that would put Napoleon to shame.

*He deals out justice and retribution, mercy and compassion all at once.

*The ultimate lone wolf who sees the value in teamwork.

*Hangs out with gods, monsters, and aliens, yet still manages to put them in their place when necessary.

Whew. Did I miss anything? Almost harder to believe in than a bulletproof flying alien.

I could go on.

He’s Beowulf. He’s Theseus. He’s Odysseus. He’s the man who overcomes that which no man can overcome. The aspirational, indominamble will made fictional flesh. The human who stands for all humans against the gods and monsters, and gives us hope that perhaps we too can stand against even a Superman and overcome. Courage, compassion and resilience against the greatest odds, and at least within the stories, a chance for the triumph of brain and resolve over “might makes right”.

. . . anyway, that’s how it is for me.
